Erin Barger grew up in the small town of  Rainier, Oregon, which is nestled against the Columbia River.  There she spent most of her time playing outside when the weather was nice, building furniture forts, writing, drawing and playing video games.  She enjoyed arts, crafts and writing stories just as much as she enjoyed spending time in front of her parent's Commodore 64.  It wasn't until later that she would learn that she could combine these interests.   Whichever path she would choose, she knew her parents would support her wherever she went.
Upon leaving high school, Erin spent the better part of a decade trying to find her calling. This time was spent in Bellingham, WA working at various retail jobs including a popular video game store.  It wasn't long before Erin realized that the retail life wasn't for her. This realization drove her to enroll in Whatcom Community College. She finally found that she had a talent with art and computers which lead to the decision to attend The Art Institute of Seattle to see where that path would take her. After spending nearly two years in the Media Arts and Animation program, Erin made the switch to Game Arts and Design (GAD) where she feels she had found her rightful place.
Erin's first steps in the video game industry were at iWin Studios Division 90. Here she helped make casual games by working on game assets, animations and bringing cookies for the guys in the office.  The team was a great one to work with and enjoyed the atmosphere.  It was a sad day when she had to pack up her belongings and leave the office, but now finds herself working with a talented team at Cat Daddy Games.
Erin still enjoys reading, writing and playing video games along with baking, rollerblading, biking and creating art in either Photoshop, Flash or a 3D program.  Of course she finds that the best time is spent with her friends who have pushed her to succeed in school and continue to support her now that she has successfully graduated from The Art Institute of Seattle as the first GAD student from the school.  Currently she is working in her field of choice in the video game industry and still resides in Seattle, WA which she is proud to call her home.
